[DE] Edwin van der Heide ist ein Pionier im Grenzbereich zwischen Raum, Klang und Licht. Auf seiner Werkserie LSP aufbauend, entwickelte der Künstler speziell für A L'ARME! die Arbeit Intersecting Planes: eine Fusion aus Sound und Laserstrahlen in körperlicher, fast greifbarer Qualität. Rundum umgeben von audiovisuellen Impulsen, ist das Publikum aufgefordert, aktiv mit dem Werk zu interagieren, das je nach Perspektive anders aussieht, je nach Standort anders klingt. Intersecting Planes ist als Eröffnungszeremonie von Vol. X+I eine einzige immersive Erfahrung. Bild und Ton sind gleichberechtigte Partner eines Ganzen, das größer ist als die Summe der einzelnen Teile. Und das auch definitiv mehr Wucht hat.
[EN] Edwin van der Heide is a pioneer of the borderlands between space, light, and sound. Building on his LSP series, van der Heide has created the work Intersecting Planes – a fusion of sound and laser light with bodily, almost tangible qualities – especially for A L’ARME! Enveloped in audiovisual stimuli, the audience is invited to explore and interact with the work, which looks different depending on your perspective and sounds different depending on where you stand. Intersecting Planes is a unique, immersive experience and simultaneously the opening ceremony of Vol. X+I. Image and sound are equal partners, creating a whole that is greater than the sum of its individual parts. And one that certainly has more impact.
