ELECTRIC INDIGO (AT) — DJ SET
[DE] Susanne Kirchmayr alias Electric Indigo ist DJ, Komponistin und Performerin. Sie steht für eine intelligente Interpretation von Techno und elektronischer Musik, arbeitet konkret an den Strukturen und der Materialität von Klang – etwa auf ihrem Album Ferrum, einer intensiven Auseinandersetzung mit dem titelgebenden Metall –, aber auch an sozialen Zusammenhängen. Kaum zu überschätzen ist die Wirkung des internationalen Netzwerks female:pressure, das von ihr gegründet wurde und über den Bereich der elektronischen Musik hinaus nach wie vor maßgebliche Impulse für feministische Künstler:innen setzt. Zum Abschluss von A L’ARME! Vol. XII spielt Electric Indigo eines ihrer charakteristischen DJ-Sets, geprägt durch große Vielfalt, eine klare Vision und ihr tiefes Verständnis für die Kunst des Auflegens.
[EN] Susanne Kirchmayr aka Electric Indigo is a DJ, composer, and performer. She stands for the intelligent interpretation of techno and electronic music and works specifically with the structures and materiality of sound – for example on her album Ferrum, an in-depth examination of the metal that gives the record its name – as well as with social coherencies. Her work is also majorly influenced by female:pressure, an international platform that Kirchmayr herself founded and that continues to set the tone for feminist artists in the world of electronic music and beyond. To close out A L’ARME! Vol. XII, Electric Indigo will be playing one of her signature sets, characterized by musical diversity, a clear vision, and her profound understanding of the art of DJing.
