[DE] Unruhe, poröse Strukturen, Knistern und Kratzen – man spürt, gleich könnte hier etwas ganz Großes aufplatzen. Wenn Gitarristin Steffi Narr und Schlagzeuger Oliver Steidle nämlich umschalten vom Modus „Spannung“ auf „Kurzschluss“. Narr // Steidle, das Improvisationsduo der in Leipzig und Berlin lebenden Musiker:innen, hat vor rund drei Jahren zusammengefunden und spielt mit musikalischen Klischees aus Punk und Heavy Metal genauso wie mit Elementen, die an Musique concrète und Ambient erinnern – ohne je eindeutig das eine oder das andere davon sein zu wollen. Für ihren Auftritt bei A L’ARME! kooperieren Narr und Steidle erstmals mit der Multimediakünstlerin Saou TV, die sich selbst als digitale Nostalgikerin bezeichnet und den musikalischen Dialog mit Live-Projektionen in die visuelle Dimension erweitert.
[EN] Unrest, porous structures, crackling and scratching – you can feel that something huge could burst open here at any moment. Namely when guitarist Steffi Narr and drummer Oliver Steidle switch from “high-voltage” mode to “short-circuit” mode. Narr // Steidle – an improvisational duo of musicians living in Leipzig and Berlin – formed about three years ago and plays with musical clichés from the genres of punk and heavy metal as well as with elements reminiscent of musique concrète and ambient, while at the same time never trying to fully embody one or the other. For their performance at A L’ARME!, Narr and Steidle will collaborate for the first time ever with multimedia artist Saou TV, who describes herself as taking a nostalgic approach to digital art and who will expand the musical dialogue into the visual dimension through her live projections.
