[DE] claire rousay ist von Hause aus Perkussionistin, solo eine Universalistin des Unscheinbaren (zu erleben am Festival-Freitag) und grundsätzlich ein kritischer Geist. Julia Reidy versteht das, was andere „Gitarre“ nennen, vor allem als Einladung zur Erforschung mikrotonaler Territorien und Anlass zur Transgression. Im Rahmen von A L'ARME! spielen die beiden erstmals zusammen vor Publikum, um gemeinsam Gebiete erhöhter harmonischer Instabilität und rhythmischer Elastizität zu erkunden. Die unorthodoxen Herangehensweisen der beiden Beteiligten dürften sich dabei höchst produktiv ergänzen und gegenseitig verstärken. Zu erwarten ist von der Paarung rousay / Reidy also ein intensiver Dialog über das Außergewöhnliche, voll von Intimität, getrieben von sachter, unwiderstehlicher Kraft.
[EN] claire rousay is a percussionist by nature, a universalist of the unassuming when she performs solo (which audiences can experience on Friday night of the festival), and a critical spirit at heart. What others would call a “guitar”, Julia Reidy sees mainly as an invitation to explore microtonal territories and as an opportunity for transgression. At A L’ARME!, both artists will play together in front of an audience for the first time ever to jointly discover areas of increased harmonious instability and rhythmic elasticity. The unorthodox approaches of both performers will complement each other in a highly productive manner while at the same time reinforcing one another. Therefore, we can expect from the rousay/Reidy coupling an intense dialog on the unusual, filled with intimacy, and driven by gentle, irresistible strength.
