[DE] Als sagenhaft virtuose – und sagenhaft vielfältige – Schlagzeugerin tritt Veslemøy Narvesen im Rahmen von A L'ARME! in sehr unterschiedlichen Kontexten in Erscheinung. Zum einen mit der Weltpremiere ihrer neuesten Formation: Gemeinsam mit Kit Downes an Orgel und Klavier und Flötistin Ketija Ringa ist das Trio Holistic bei diesem Festival erstmals zu erleben. Zu dritt bewegt man sich an der Schnittstelle von Komposition und Improvisation. Einzelne, von den Musiker*innen füreinander geschriebene Motive bilden die Grundlage für kollektive Ausflüge in den Möglichkeitsraum, den die ungewohnte Kombination ihrer Instrumente bietet. Narvesens Umtriebigkeit und die Chemie mit Downes und Ringa garantieren dabei eine Performance voller Spannung und Überraschungen.
[EN] An incredibly talented – and incredibly versatile – drummer, Veslemøy Narvesen will be appearing at A L’ARME! in two extremely different contexts. One of these will be the world premiere of her newest formation: Together with Kit Downes on the organ and piano and Ketija Ringa on the flute, Trio Holistic will be appearing for the first time ever at the festival. The three artists work at the intersection of composition and improvisation. Individual themes written by the musicians for one another establish a foundation for collective journeys into the realm of possibility offered by the unusual combination of their respective instruments. At the same time, Narvesen’s kinetic energy and chemistry with Downes and Ringa guarantee an electric performance filled with surprises.
