[DE] Am letzten A-L’ARME!-Abend folgen Caspar Brötzmann und Farida Amadou der langen Tradition des Festivals, besonderen künstlerischen Paarungen Raum zu geben. Brötzmann gilt als einer der innovativsten E-Gitarristen der letzten 40 Jahre und widmet sich mit Bass Totem der rohen, körperbetonten Erforschung seines „Long Scale Electric Bass“. Er präsentiert bei A L’ARME! erstmals die Bass-Totem-Komposition The Lovers And Destroyers, die zugleich als Album veröffentlicht wird. Der zweite Teil des Konzerts widmet sich der Zusammenarbeit mit Farida Amadou, einer im Grunde unausweichlichen Kollaboration. Amadou hat sich als Autodidaktin am Bass seit einigen Jahren in ganz ähnliche Klangbereiche vorgewagt und das gesamte Frequenzspektrum des Instruments nach dessen größten Energiepotenzialen abgescannt. Mit ihrem E-Bass-Gipfeltreffen sind die beiden erstmals live in Berlin zu erleben. Eine Fusion zweier Kraftfelder, die ihre Wirkung bestimmt nicht verfehlen wird.
[EN] On the last evening of A L’ARME!, Caspar Brötzmann and Farida Amadou will continue the festival’s long-standing tradition of creating a space for unique artistic pairings. Brötzmann is one of the most innovative electric guitarists of the last 40 years. With Bass Totem, he has dedicated himself to the raw, physical exploration of his “long scale electric bass.” At A L’ARME!, he will be presenting for the first time ever the Bass Totem composition “The Lovers and Destroyers,” which will also be released as an album. The second part of the concert will be dedicated to his – practically inevitable – collaboration with Farida Amadou. A self-taught bass player, Amadou has been working in a very similar tonal space for many years now, scanning the entire frequency spectrum of her instrument in search of its greatest energy potential. This electric bass summit will be the duo’s first live performance in Berlin. A fusion of two force fields that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
